The story of five people in New Orleans striving to save unique elements of the city's culture in the first two years after Hurricane Katrina. As these residents from five different neighborhoods grapple with the intense challenges of rebuilding, it becomes clear that the battle to repair and save the singular culture and art of New Orleans is just as important as the struggle to fix broken homes and businesses. As they face the ups and downs of staying in the city, the main characters believe they're saving the culture. But in the end, are they saving the culture, or is the culture saving them?
